Sharpen your axe
Hi, my dear,
Greetings.
Today I will narrate a story that you all know
and then,,,,,
relate it to some very important aspect of our life.
The merchant offered him a job of cutting the trees on a condition that the payment will be at the rate of Rs.100 per one tree, that was fell down.
The worker accepted the offer and agreed to work accordingly.
The merchant gave him an axe and shown the trees, marked for cutting.
First day, the worker fell-down 10 trees and earned Rs.1000. The worker was happy.
On the 2nd day, he could fell down only 7. So he earned Rs. 700.
On the 3rd day, with much difficulty, he could cut 4 trees only and earned Rs. 400.
On the 4th day, the worker could cut only one tree, from morning to evening.
Due to his poor performance and low level of earnings, the worker felt very upset.
He argued with the merchant that he has been cheated & exploited for his innocence.
After listening patiently to the worker's argument, the merchant asked him....
"when was you sharpen the axe?"
"Where was the time to sharpen the axe?
I was so busy all the day, in cutting the trees" replied the worker.
Moral of this story is ----
proper maintenance of the tools is a must, for the good performance.
Incidentally, our body is a living tool, that also needs proper maintenance.
Only eating and sleeping are not sufficient to maintain the body,,,,, in order.
Body needs regular exercises, so that all its parts can be active and functional.
Unfortunately, in our day-to-day life, we are so busy in our routine works that---
we don't find any time, for the body exercises.
We work to earn money, take food for nourishment and sleep for rest.
There is no provision of time for exercises, in our daily routine.
After getting a job or married, we become shapeless with protruding belly.
When anyone ask us about the exercises, then we say that there is "no time".
But, we always expect to have good health & perform well in our day-to-day life.
Is it reasonable?
From the above, my message to the younger generations is ........
Allot time for the exercises, both physical & psychological, in your daily schedule.
This will keep your body & soul fit and helps you, in all spheres of your life.
What do you say,,,,,, my dear????
