HHF Success Story - Water Tax issue

Greetings.

Today I will share our Helping Hands Foundation's latest success story.
The beginning:
Through a representation dated 20.6.2020, Mrs. Padmaja of Chittoor town in AP State, informed us that - She paid the Water Tax amount of Rs. 5900 in the year 2015. But till now, that is even after 5 years, the records were not updated in the Chittoor Municipal Corporation.

She made several personal representations during the past 5 years by requesting the Municipal authorities for suitable action. But the same has not evoked any positive response.

Year after year, the new Municipal Tax Demand Notices continue to show the already paid amount, under the DUES to be paid only.

During the month of March 2020, she sent a representation to the Chittoor Municipal Commissioner, through Register Post, duly explaining all the details of her issue and requested to reduce the already paid amount from the demand. It was also not worked-out.

As all her efforts to get the Water Tax records regularize were futile, through her representation dated 20.6.2020 Mrs. Padmaja requested us to intervene and help her. 
All supporting evidences like Water Tax amount paid receipt, recent Tax Demand notice, copy of her Representations submitted to the Chittoor Municipal Commissioner, etc., were also submitted, for our information.

After verification of the available records and confirmation of the facts, our HHF decided to take-up this issue, for persuasion.

On 23.6.2020, we addressed an email to the Chittoor Municipal Commissioner, duly explaining the issue in detail along with all supporting documentary evidences. 
As usual, this email copy was marked to all the superior officials concerned, for their information.

We asked the applicant to take printout of our email in two copies, submit one copy at the Chittoor Municipal Corporation office and get the Office Received seal on the second copy, in token of acknowledgement. This is essential, for our later course of action.
The applicant completed this ask, as advised by us.

As there was no response for our email dated 23.6.2020,,,,,,,,,, 
on 7.7.2020 we sent the Reminder No. 1 to the Chittoor Municipal Commissioner and it's copy was marked to all the concerned.

Again on 15.7.2020, the Reminder No.2 was sent by us, to all the concerned, informing that non-updating of the records for more than 5 years, despite repeated representations, is highly irregular.

On 18.7.2020, we received an email from one higher official,,,, 
asking us to share the Water Tap consumer Number, for verification of the records. 
We once again forwarded all the supporting documentary evidences related to this issue, through an email on 19.7.2020.

On 20.7.2020, Mrs. Padmaja reported to us that - on verification in the web, it is found that the earlier paid amount of Rs. 5900 was now got adjusted, in the Water Tax dues, and her grievance was got resolved.

She sent the "Screen Shots" related to this, for our confirmation and thanked us for resolving the 5 years long pending issue.

We are glad to place on record that - the 5 years long pending issue of Mrs. Padmaja was got resolved in 1 month time, due to our systematic persuasions.

This is the latest live example about - how we can resolve the pending issues, through systematic persuasions.

We suggest that all our readers to do this type of systematic follow-up, whenever there is an issue and resolve it peacefully/successfully.
