๐ธ Preserving Every Face, Every Smile
I always believe in planning. Knowing that group photos often don’t capture everyone clearly due to the distance, I decided to do something special—an experiment straight from the heart.
Throughout the event, I took a selfie with each and every member I met. These selfies not only capture their faces vividly but also freeze in time the joy we shared that day.
1. Sri P. Satyanarayana
This selfie was taken just before we began our car journey from Gayatri Nagar, Chittoor, to the get-together venue.
Sri J.C. Reddy garu graciously agreed to a kind request from Sri P. Satyanarayana garu and offered to drop me at the venue in his car. He welcomed me with warmth and generosity.
I truly appreciate his kind-hearted nature and willingness to help, a gesture that made my day much smoother and more memorable. My heartfelt thanks to him.
3. Sri Vijaya Kumar

It was such a joy to reconnect with Sri Vijaya Kumar garu, a dear colleague from our days at the Bank’s Head Office. While I served in the Credit Department, he worked in the Personnel Department—yet our bond extended beyond the office walls.
Back then, we lived in nearby colonies, and one of our fondest memories was the occasional "motorbike races" we’d have while riding back to the bank after our lunch breaks. Those spontaneous, youthful races added a fun and spirited flavor to our otherwise routine workdays.
Meeting him again brought back those wonderful memories and left me smiling throughout the day.
4. Sri Pandarinadh Pillai
Reuniting with Sri Pandarinadh Pillai garu was truly heartwarming. We shared a long and enriching association at the Head Office, where I worked in the Credit Department and he served in the Inspection Department.
Our connection, however, goes even further back—he was the one who officially handed over the charge to me as Branch Manager of Palamangalam, the very first branch I managed at the beginning of my banking journey. That moment marked a milestone in my career, and I’ll always remember his encouragement and support during that time.
A gentleman with a constant smile and a pleasant demeanor, he is not only known for his warm nature but also for his excellent English drafting skills. Together, we had the honor of co-editing and maintaining the Bank’s internal magazine, “GRAMABANK HERALD,” which remains a proud memory for both of us.
It was a joy to meet such a wonderful colleague and friend once again.
5. Sri Rami Reddy
Meeting Sri Rami Reddy garu again brought back many memories from our time together in the Credit Department at the Bank’s Head Office. He is senior to me in service at HO, and I’ve always looked up to him with great respect.
What stood out about him then—and still does—is his calm demeanor, humble nature, and his genuine cooperative spirit. He was always accommodating and supportive, making the workplace a more harmonious and pleasant environment.
It was a true pleasure to reconnect with such a gentle and gracious soul.
6. Sri Venkatramana
I first met him during an official visit to the Theertham Branch, where he was serving as a clerk. I had been assigned to conduct an inquiry against the Branch Manager regarding the mismanagement of delegated powers.
Even in that formal setting, I found Sri Venkatramana garu to be a sincere and composed individual. It was a pleasant surprise to reconnect with him during the get-together under entirely cheerful and relaxed circumstances.
7. Sri Arunachal Reddy
My association with Sri Arunachal Reddy garu is quite unique. During my tenure as an Officer at our S.R. Puram Branch, I was deputed to the KARANI Branch for a month, where he was serving as the Branch Manager and was on leave at the time.
Although I didn’t get a chance to meet him then, I learned a lot about him from the Branch Messenger, who spoke highly of his leadership and work style.
Interestingly, even though we never worked together directly throughout my entire banking career, his frequent visits to the Head Office during my tenure there made us familiar acquaintances over time. Meeting him again at the get-together added a pleasant layer of warmth to that long-standing familiarity.
8. Sri Balachandra Reddy
While I was serving at the Head Office, Sri Balachandra Reddy garu was posted at K.P. Mitta Branch. Though we never had the opportunity to work together, I knew of him as a fellow officer in the SGB family.
It was a pleasure meeting him in person during the get-together and sharing a few warm moments that bridged the distance our postings once kept.
9. [Name Not Recalled]
Unfortunately, I’m unable to recall the name or specific details of this kind gentleman in the selfie. Despite that, I do remember sharing a pleasant moment with him during the event.
Every face at the get-together added a unique warmth to the occasion, and I’m grateful for his presence in making the day truly special.
10. [Name Not Recalled]

Every face at the get-together added a unique warmth to the occasion, and I’m grateful for his presence in making the day truly special.
11. Sri Chinnappa Reddy
Sri Chinnappa Reddy garu and I share a long-standing association, having worked together for several years at the Bank’s Head Office—he in the Accounts Department and I in the Credit Department. I always admired his dynamic personality, courageous approach, and his graceful, disciplined lifestyle.
Later, our professional paths crossed again at the Sri Kalahasti Branch, where he served as the Branch Manager and I worked as an Officer. We shared a cordial and respectful relationship, built on mutual trust and cooperation.
One of my fondest memories is of him visiting my home in Tirupati and presenting a book to my son on his birthday—a touching gesture that spoke volumes about his warmth and thoughtfulness.
Even after my resignation from the Bank, we continued to meet frequently at the Staff Cooperative Society office in Tirupati, keeping the bond alive beyond the boundaries of service.
12. Sri S. Mohan Rao
Sri S. Mohan Rao garu and I shared time together in the Head Office Credit Department. He was well-known for his jovial yet sharp-witted remarks, always delivered with a unique sense of humor. One of his unforgettable lines still echoes in my mind:
“Due to severe hunger, a cow may eat meat—but the tiger never eats grass.”
A line that carried more meaning than mere humor!
Our professional paths crossed again during Review Meetings, where I represented the HO Credit Department sitting beside the Bank’s Chairman, and he would participate as a Branch Manager presenting his branch’s performance.
After my resignation, I didn't meet him for a long time—until one special occasion at Chittoor, where he was serving as the Secretary of the Retired Staff Association. I attended that meeting in my capacity as the Managing Director of Helping Hands Foundation, representing the interests of Daily Wagers working in SGB.
What touched me deeply was his support—he drafted a letter advocating for the Daily Wagers, co-signed by him and the Association President, Sri Ananda Reddy garu, and handed it to me personally.
Reconnecting with Sri Mohan Rao garu after so many years filled me with immense joy and gratitude.
14. Sri Subramanyam Reddy
Sri Subramanyam Reddy garu is a person of humble nature, marked by his decent habits and quiet dignity.
Though we never had the chance to work together during our time in the Bank, I did once visit Kolamasina Palle Branch, where he was serving as a clerk—that was our earliest professional interaction.
Our real association began after I established the Helping Hands Foundation (HHF). During a challenging time when two press reporters had unauthorizedly occupied land within the SGB Staff Housing Colony at Tolappa Gardens, Tiruchanur, Sri Subramanyam Reddy garu and a few SGB staff members approached me for support.
With the sincere efforts of HHF—and with his valuable help in delivering our letters to the TUDA office in Tirupati—we were able to successfully resolve the issue and have the encroachers removed. His involvement and commitment were instrumental in achieving that success.
Later, he graciously invited me to his daughter’s wedding in Tirupati, which I had the pleasure of attending. The event was even more joyful as I met several of my old SGB friends there as well.
My heartfelt thanks to him for the continued respect and trust over the years.
15. Sri Siddam Reddy
Though Sri Siddam Reddy garu and I never worked together during our time in the Bank, we came to know each other well—thanks to our lively and often heated discussions in our SGB Retired Staff WhatsApp group.
While the exchanges were spirited, they reflected a shared passion and concern for matters close to our hearts. Meeting him in person during the get-together added a pleasant new dimension to our virtual interactions—reminding me that behind every strong opinion is a fellow friend with a common bond.
16. Sri Shakar
My association with Sri Shakar garu dates back to the year 1985, when I was working at S.R. Puram Branch. He joined our branch during that time as a Trainee Officer, bringing with him a refreshing jovial nature that was appreciated by everyone around.
Years later, our paths crossed again—this time in a professional capacity. He was the Branch Manager of Punganur Branch, and I visited his branch representing the HO TME Cell, tasked with studying a few concerns related to branch borrowers.I still remember his genuine appeal to me during that visit—he requested I provide a positive message to the borrowers to uplift their morale. Unfortunately, due to the prevailing circumstances at that time, I wasn’t in a position to oblige, though his heartfelt concern for the customers left a lasting impression on me.
Meeting Sri Shakar garu once again at the get-together gave me a wonderful opportunity to rewind the clock and revisit those early and formative days of my banking career.
17. Sri Sudhakar
Though Sri Sudhakar garu and I never worked together during our time in the Bank, I have always known him as a kind-hearted and service-minded gentleman.
Back in the days when getting a gas connection was no less than a herculean task, he went out of his way to help countless families in Madanapalle and surrounding areas. I’m especially grateful to him for extending his support to my own family—he was instrumental in helping my father-in-law secure a gas connection during those challenging times.
His quiet acts of service have left a lasting impression on many, and it was a true pleasure meeting him at the get-together.
18. Sri Ramachandra Reddy
My association with Sri Ramachandra Reddy garu goes back to the year 1986–87, when I was serving as the Branch Manager of Reddivaripalle Branch, near Madanapalle.
During that period, we used to meet frequently in Madanapalle, and I fondly remember his ever-pleasant demeanor and infectious jovial nature. He had a way of making every interaction cheerful and light-hearted.
Catching up with him at the get-together brought back those vibrant memories from the early days of my banking career.
19. Sri Venkataramana Reddy
Sri Venkataramana Reddy garu is a proud batchmate from the 1985–86 BM Cadre Officers Batch. We both began our journeys with the Bank by attending the Induction Training Programme together—a foundational experience that laid the groundwork for our careers.
Although we never worked together at either the Head Office or any branch, we often crossed paths during the Chairman’s Review Meetings. I would attend as the HO Credit Department representative, while he represented his branch as its Branch Manager.
It was wonderful to meet him again at the get-together, reminding me of those early days filled with ambition, learning, and shared beginnings.
20. Sri Nagaraja Rao
Sri Nagaraja Rao garu is also a batchmate from the 1985–86 BM Cadre Officers Batch. We both began our banking careers side by side during the Induction Training Programme, a phase filled with learning, enthusiasm, and camaraderie.
Although we didn’t get the opportunity to work together at the Head Office or any branch, we regularly met during the Chairman’s Review Meetings—I as the HO Credit Department representative, and he as the Branch Manager representing his branch.
Meeting him once again at the get-together was like flipping back to those early pages of our professional journey—refreshing and full of warmth.
21. Sri Anjaneylu
While I was working at the Head Office, I once had the opportunity to visit Sri Anjaneylu garu’s branch to conduct a jeep recovery drive in his branch’s command area. That brief interaction left a positive impression, though time and the years that followed caused his name to slip from my memory.
During the recent get-together, he approached me with enthusiasm and asked, “Do you still remember me?” — a question that brought a smile to my face. While I couldn’t recall his name immediately, I recognized him by his appearance and was genuinely happy to reconnect after more than 25 years.
It’s moments like these that make reunions truly special—when faces from the past walk back into your present with warmth and familiarity.
22. Sri Sivanadha Reddy
Sri Sivanadha Reddy garu was recruited alongside me in the 1985–86 BM Cadre Officers Batch, and we both attended the Bank’s Induction Training Programme together. From those early days, he stood out as an intellectual, a star performer, and a truly admirable personality within our Bank.
I have always held great respect for his dynamic nature, sharp thinking, and professional excellence. He was, and continues to be, a role model for many of us.
Even after my resignation from the Bank, our bond remained intact, and we continued to meet at regular intervals, keeping our friendship and mutual respect alive.
24. Sri Muniraja Reddy
Sri Muniraja Reddy garu is senior to me in service, and I had the opportunity to interact with him during our time at the Bank’s Head Office, Inspection Department, around the year 1988. Despite the difference in seniority, he always spoke to me with kindness and a friendly tone, which I truly appreciated.
In the later years, around 2002, our professional paths crossed again as we were posted at neighboring branches—he was the Branch Manager at Pakala, and I was the Branch Manager at Kommireddigaripalle. To reach my branch, I would pass through Pakala town, and these regular routes led to frequent meetings, during which we exchanged views on various banking and personal aspects.
Even after my resignation from the Bank, we continued to meet at the Tirupati Staff Cooperative Society Office, maintaining our cordial connection. I have always admired his pleasant personality, calm demeanor, and genuine warmth.
On one occasion, I had the privilege of visiting his home in Kottala village, where I was received with such a gracious and heartfelt welcome—a memory I will always cherish.
25. Sri Abdul Kalam Azad
Sri Abdul Kalam Azad garu is a kind-hearted and cooperative individual, known for his gentle nature and willingness to help others.
My memory takes me back to 1986, when I was the Branch Manager of Palamangalam Branch, and he was managing the nearby Nindra Branch. At that time, I was facing an internal issue at my branch, and he personally visited us, took stock of the situation, and counselled the staff with wisdom and empathy. His timely support and calming presence made a significant difference.
Later, we worked together again at the Head Office—he as an Inspector of Branches and I as the Head of the TME Cell. One memorable instance I still recall fondly is when we happened to meet in the evening at Kuppam town during our respective official visits. We had a meaningful and enjoyable discussion, reconnecting as colleagues and friends.
Meeting him again at the get-together brought back all these cherished memories, and reminded me of the quiet strength and sincerity he always brought to his work.
26. Sri Udaya Chandra Reddy
Sri Udaya Chandra Reddy garu is senior to me in service and someone I deeply respect for his kind-hearted nature and ever-smiling face. During our time together at the Head Office, I always found him to be approachable and full of positive energy.
Later, when I was posted as the Branch Manager at Kommireddigaripalle, he was serving as the "Development Manager at the HO". I still recall a particular moment when I was persistently following up on the supply of something for my branch. With his characteristic smile and gentle honesty, he responded,
“As a Branch Manager, you have only one problem to resolve. But at HO, I have to resolve problems from 66 branches every single day!”
That light-hearted yet realistic remark has stayed with me ever since.
Meeting Sri Udaya Chandra Reddy garu again on 13.4.2025, after a long gap of more than 15 years, was truly heartwarming. Seeing his same smiling face and warm presence brought back a wave of fond memories.
27. Sri Chandra Kumar
On the morning of 13.4.2025, just before the get-together, he enquired with genuine concern about my travel arrangements to the venue. I informed him that Sri Satyanarayana garu had kindly requested Sri J.C. Reddy garu to give me a ride. He then asked about my return journey, and I mentioned that I planned to request a lift from someone with a car up to Chittoor, and from there, take a bus to Tirupati.
He immediately responded with a thoughtful suggestion—that Sri Narasimha Reddy garu's car had vacant seats, and that we could both travel back to Tirupati together with him. I gladly accepted the invitation.
During our return journey, Sri Chandra Kumar garu’s hospitality truly shone through. He insisted on stopping at the Heritage Factory Sales Outlet and purchased cool drinks for us all, making the ride not only comfortable but also refreshingly memorable.
His caring attitude and considerate actions truly reflect the essence of friendship and fraternity we all cherish.
28. Sri Gurava Reddy
While our meetings were rare and mostly brief, they were always pleasant. Seeing him again at the get-together rekindled that quiet familiarity and reminded me how small, yet special, our professional family truly is.
29. Sri Madhava Reddy
One impactful memory I hold dear is his guidance regarding staff union participation. At that time, our Bank had two unions caught in a wave of unhealthy competition, which discouraged me from affiliating with either. I chose to remain neutral, avoiding the political tug-of-war. However, on his sincere advice, I eventually joined one of the unions—and stayed a committed member until the day of my resignation. His words helped me see the importance of collective strength and representation.
Even after I left the Bank, our paths continued to cross—especially during our morning walks at the TTD Administrative Building track in Tirupati. His quiet wisdom and presence remained a source of strength.
One remarkable instance that truly moved me was when he submitted a representation to Helping Hands Foundation, addressing it to me in my role as the Managing Director. He raised a concern on behalf of rural and uneducated users of feature phones—highlighting how telecom providers were forcing internet data packages on users who only needed voice call services. His appeal was thoughtful, community-focused, and timely.
Taking his representation forward, we pursued the matter with the Department of Telecommunications, and to our great satisfaction, voice-only call packages were eventually made available by all major service providers—a real victory for the underserved. The following link content is about that success story.
https://helpinghandsnaseer.blogspot.com/2025/01/success-story-trai-advocating-for.html
I feel truly blessed to have had Sri Madhava Reddy garu’s guidance both during my professional life and through our shared commitment to social welfare. His influence continues to inspire me on many levels.
30. Sri Subramanyam
I must honestly admit that I don’t recall any direct association with Sri Subramanyam garu—neither at the Head Office nor at any of the branches where I served.
However, every face at the get-together contributed to the warmth and joy of the occasion. His presence added value to the event, and I’m glad we could share in the celebration of our collective journey as part of the SGB family.
31. Sri Reddappa Reddy
My association with Sri Reddappa Reddy garu runs deep—especially during my time at the Head Office, where we worked together in both the Inspection Department and the Credit Department. A man of great simplicity, he was also an accounts genius, admired by all who had the privilege to work with him.
He served as the Head of the Accounts Department at HO, and what always stood out was his astonishing memory. Whenever any information was needed, he would gently move his index finger through his hair, pause for a second, and then—as if from a mental ledger—recall and share the precise details, instantly and effortlessly. It was a remarkable quality that never ceased to amaze me.
One memory that’s etched in my heart dates back to 1998, a particularly difficult year for me. As the TME Cell Head at HO, I became entangled in a serious issue involving my colleagues and the Top Management. My frustration and emotional turmoil were visible over several days. Observing this, Sri Reddappa Reddy garu gently advised me one day:
“Let the things take their own course.”
A line delivered with calm wisdom and care.
Despite his guidance, I insisted on being transferred out of the HO, and eventually, I was posted to a branch. Interestingly, around the same time, he was elevated to the position of Area Manager, and my new branch—Mudaramadoddi—came under his jurisdiction.
During that phase, he offered me tremendous moral support and stood by me with sincerity and quiet strength. His presence gave me the confidence to move forward and rebuild myself professionally.
His help during that turning point in my career is something "I can never forget", and even today, I hold him in the highest regard. I sincerely pray for his continued good health, happiness, and well-being.
“Let the things take their own course.”
A line delivered with calm wisdom and care.
32. Sri Venugopal Gupta

Sri Venugopal Gupta garu and I worked together at the Head Office—he in the Inspection Department, and I in the Credit Department. He is known for his jovial nature, combined with a sharp and shrewd intellect that made him stand out among his peers.
One memorable incident that still brings a smile to my face is when he filed a case against an RTC bus—and won it! The way he celebrated the victory was remarkable. He gathered all our HO staff and turned it into a joyful moment of togetherness and triumph. That story alone reflects his determination, wit, and sense of celebration.
I also had the pleasure of visiting his home once, where I experienced his warm hospitality firsthand. The grace and warmth with which he welcomed me remains a fond memory.
Meeting him again at the get-together rekindled all those lively, cheerful memories that made our days at HO so special.
33. Sri Ananda Reddy
Sri Ananda Reddy garu—a tall and commanding figure, standing over six feet high—is well-known across our Bank for his unwavering commitment to staff welfare and his exceptional leadership in union activities. Throughout his career, he remained at the forefront of staff union movements, fearlessly voicing the concerns of employees and negotiating with the Bank’s management for their rights and benefits.
Over time, he rose to become a national-level leader, and today, he continues to serve with equal dedication as the President of the Saptagiri Grameena Bank Retired Staff Union. A gentleman of integrity, he possesses a rare blend of commitment, compassion, and organizing capabilities.
Though we never worked together at any branch or at the Head Office, our paths crossed frequently. During my tenure as a Recovery Officer, I would visit his branch in the HO jeep to conduct recovery drives. Those drives were not only eventful but also unforgettable. At the get-together, he fondly narrated to our colleagues how I would playfully act as his "superior" during these drives—sternly warning defaulters that the Branch Manager could be suspended if dues weren’t paid. The kind-hearted and unsuspecting borrowers, sympathetic to their BM, would often remit some amount out of concern. Those days were filled with camaraderie, strategy, and plenty of smiles.
Another cherished memory is our journey to Guntur to attend a union meeting. During our overnight stay, I grew restless with the discomforts at the venue. In that moment, he quietly remarked,
“Though I can afford to stay in a hotel, doing so would demoralize our fellow union members.”
That single line spoke volumes about his selflessness and solidarity with his peers.
Though age has taken a physical toll on him, his spirit remains unshaken. He is still very active in dialogues with the Bank’s top management, ensuring that the concerns of retired staff are heard and addressed—especially now, as the amalgamation of the four Grameena Banks into the Andhra Pradesh Grameena Bank approaches on 1.5.2025.
I sincerely pray that the Almighty blesses Sri Ananda Reddy garu with continued strength, energy, and good health, so he can keep championing the welfare of our retired SGB family.
34. Sri Chandra Babu
Sri Chandra Babu garu is a soft-spoken, humble, and kind-hearted gentleman, admired by many for his gentle demeanor and cooperative spirit.
We worked together for a considerable period at the Bank’s Head Office, Credit Department, and I always found him to be friendly, approachable, and genuinely respectful toward everyone. His submissive and polite nature naturally attracted people, making him a well-liked figure among our colleagues.
His quiet strength and easygoing personality made our time at HO a pleasant and collaborative experience. Meeting him again at the get-together brought back those peaceful and professional memories we shared.
35. Sri T. Ramachandra Reddy.
Sri T. Ramachandra Reddy garu and I shared a long and close association at the Bank’s Head Office, Credit Department. We worked together for several years, where I served as the Key Personnel, and he worked alongside me as the Assistant Key Personnel in the Bank's TME Cell.
He is an intelligent, energetic, and committed individual, always ready to take initiative and lend a helping hand. One unforgettable moment that speaks volumes about his affection and friendship is from the time I was transferred from the HO to V. Kota Branch. Without me even informing him about my shifting schedule, he came to my home around 9 PM, simply out of concern and care, and stayed with us till 12 PM, helping load all the household items into the lorry. That thoughtful gesture truly touched my heart and remains etched in my memory.
Even after I resigned from the Bank, we continued to meet at friends' children's weddings, exchanging warm greetings and recalling old times.
He is also a dedicated sports enthusiast, and to this day, he maintains excellent health and physical fitness—thanks to his regular routine of walking and running. His discipline and positivity are truly inspiring
36. Sri K. Pratap Kumar
I don’t recall working directly with Sri K. Pratap Kumar garu, either at the Head Office or any branch, but he is a well-known figure across our Bank for his active and impactful participation in Staff Union activities.
After I resigned from my job, I had the opportunity to meet him while he was serving as the Branch Manager of Greamspet Branch. I visited his branch in my capacity as the Managing Director of Helping Hands Foundation, to discuss concerns related to the Daily Wagers working in the Bank. At that time, he was also functioning as the General Secretary of the Bank's Staff Union.
He received me with great warmth and respect, listened attentively to the issues, and assured full support to help resolve them. His sharp understanding and command over union matters reflected his shrewd leadership and strong commitment to the welfare of staff.
A leader who stood firm for his colleagues, Sri K. Pratap Kumar garu has earned the respect of many through his dedication and decisive role in union affairs.
37. Sri Hari Prasad
Sri Hari Prasad garu and I worked together at the Head Office, where I was in the Credit Department and he served in the Accounts Department. He is known for his good nature, balanced demeanor, and notably, his courage to question his superiors—a rare and admirable quality that reflected his commitment to integrity and fairness.
A few years ago, we used to cross paths during morning walks in the S.V. University campus, a refreshing routine that brought many of us together informally. At that time, he was posted at a branch near Tirupati, and we would often exchange greetings and light conversations during those peaceful early hours.
Meeting him again at the get-together rekindled those calm and candid moments of connection.
38. Sri Ravindra Reddy
I don’t recall working directly with Sri Ravindra Reddy garu either at the Head Office or at any branch during my time in service. However, I had the opportunity to interact with him in recent years during a visit to the HO.
On that occasion, he clearly and confidently explained the construction details of a new building being developed by our Bank in Chittoor, intended for shifting operations to our own premises. His clarity, knowledge, and the way he communicated the technical aspects of the project left a strong impression on me.
It was a brief yet meaningful interaction, and I appreciated his dedication and professionalism.
39. Sri Yerram Reddy
Sri Yerram Reddy garu is known for his bold and confident personality. Although we never worked together at any branch or at the Head Office, I’ve had the chance to meet him occasionally during my visits to Madanapalle, my father-in-law’s place.
Our interactions were few but always pleasant, and I’ve admired his forthright nature and strong presence during those brief meetings.
40. Sri T.C. Chandrasekhar Reddy
Sri T.C. Chandrasekhar Reddy garu is a wonderful gentleman, and I had the pleasure of working with him for a considerable time at the Head Office. He served as the Development Manager, while I was heading the TME Cell. During those years, he always showed me brotherly affection, and our professional relationship grew into a bond of mutual respect and warmth.
After I resigned from the Bank, I chose to live in a remote village named Kummarapalle, near Bodevandla Palle, with a vision to develop it across various aspects. To my pleasant surprise, Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy garu personally visited the village to understand and support my efforts. Unfortunately, I was not there during his visit, but he enquired about my well-being with the locals and left a thoughtful message for me—a gesture that deeply touched my heart.
We continue to stay in touch and occasionally meet during my visits to Madanapalle, where he has built his house and is often present.
His kindness, humility, and continued regard make him a person I hold in great esteem.
Sri Narayanaswamy garu is a true embodiment of dedication, humility, and perseverance. During my tenure at the Bank’s Head Office, he served as the Chairman’s car driver, and was loved by everyone for his humble and amicable nature. Over time, I began to see him as more than a colleague—he became like a brother to me.
Driven by a strong desire to learn, he would regularly visit my home in Chittoor Greamspet to study English grammar and language, eager to grow beyond his role. It was heartening to see his temporary services eventually regularized, and with continued effort and perseverance, he cleared the internal examinations, moving up the ladder to become a clerk, then an officer, and finally a Branch Manager before retiring from service.
I take great pride in his journey. He stands as a shining example of how a temporary daily wager, through hard work and determination, can rise through the ranks—from a messenger to a manager. His story continues to inspire everyone who knows him.
During the get-together, we reminisced about the immense influence of Sri N.C. Rao garu, the then Chairman of our Bank, a person I still admire for his intellectual brilliance and vision. We fondly recalled how his support played a pivotal role in shaping our careers.
Even in retirement, Sri Narayanaswamy garu remains youthful and full of energy. He actively participated in the antakshari competition during the event and sang many beautiful old Telugu melodies and devotional songs, bringing smiles to everyone around.
Meeting him again, engaging in a detailed and nostalgic conversation, and witnessing his vibrant spirit was one of the most joyful moments of the get-together.

๐ค A Moment to Speak: Sharing My Journey
At around 11:30 AM during the get-together, the event organizers invited participants to come forward and speak—sharing life experiences, memories from our service, and how life has unfolded post-retirement.
I believe the first to speak was Sri Satyanarayana garu, followed by Sri Ananda Reddy garu, our respected Retired Staff Union President. As he concluded his heartfelt speech, he insisted that I speak next, mentioning that my words often leave a motivational impact on listeners. I was truly humbled by his kind gesture.
Taking the mic, I briefly shared some updates on our work through the Helping Hands Foundation, touching upon a few milestones we've achieved in recent years. I also mentioned that my life story has been a journey filled with many ups and downs, and narrating it all would take more time than the event could allow—especially with many friends waiting for their turn to speak.
So, to make it easier and more convenient, I offered to share the links to my personal blog where I’ve documented different phases of my journey in detail. I now provide those links below for those who are interested to read them at their own pace:

๐ฒ Stay Connected Through HHF WhatsApp Group
Before ending my talk, I extended a heartfelt invitation to all our retired SGB colleagues to join the Helping Hands Foundation WhatsApp group. This group serves as a window into our ongoing efforts, and helps members easily refer people in need to us, especially when they’re unable to assist personally.

๐งก A Personal Reflection
This event held extra meaning for me. Since resigning in 2009, I had lost touch with my SGB family. But in late 2024, I was added to the Bank Pensioner’s list—and with that, I reconnected with my colleagues after many years.
Though a minor misunderstanding occurred regarding an extra contribution I made, I chose peace over pride. And I’m glad I did—because the joy of reconnecting with so many familiar faces was truly priceless.
๐ The Final Chapter of a Glorious Legacy
With the upcoming merger of all four Grameena Banks of Andhra Pradesh into the Andhra Pradesh Grameena Bank (effective 1st May 2025), this may be the last opportunity for the Saptagiri Grameena Bank retired staff to meet under the same banner.
That made this gathering not just memorable—but historic.
๐ My Gratitude
I extend my wholehearted thanks to the organizers for their incredible effort. This was more than an event—it was an emotional milestone.
And with folded hands, I pray to the Almighty to bless each one of my dear SGB colleagues with:
-
๐ Good health
-
๐ก Peaceful retirement
-
๐จ๐ฉ๐ง๐ฆ Joyful time with loved ones
-
๐ฟ Long, happy lives
