4:38
Arabic
وَالَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ رِئَاءَ النَّاسِ وَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَلَا بِٱلْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ۗ وَمَن يَكُنِ الشَّيْطَـٰنُ لَهُۥ قَرِينًا فَسَاءَ قَرِينًا
Phonetic
Wallādhīna yunfiqūna amwālahum ri’ā’an-nāsi wa lā yu’minūna billāhi wa lā bil-yawmil-ākhir; wa man yakuni-shayṭānu lahu qarīnan fasā’a qarīnā.
English
“And those who spend their wealth to be seen by people and do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day—and whoever has Satan as a companion, then evil is that companion.”

“ఎవరు తమ డబ్బు ఖర్చు చేసి, అది చూపు కోసమే చేస్తారో… వాళ్లకి అల్లాహ్ మీదా, ఆఖరి దినం మీదా విశ్వాసం ఉండదు. అలా ఉంటే వాళ్లతో షైతాన్ ఉంటాడు. అలాంటి స్నేహం ఎంత చెడ్డదో!”
4:39

وَمَا هُمْ بِضَآرِّينَ بِهِۦ مِن شَيْءٍ إِن يُؤْمِنُوا۟ وَيَتَّقُوا۟ ۗ وَمَا ٱللَّهُ بِغَـٰفِلٍ عَمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ
Phonetic
Wa mā hum biḍārīna bihi min shay’in in yu’minū wa yattaqū; wa mā-llāhu bighāfilin ‘ammā ya‘malūn.
English
“And what would they lose if they believed in Allah and the Last Day and spent from what Allah provided them? And Allah is ever Knowing of what they do.”

“వాళ్లు అల్లాహ్ మీద, ఆఖరి రోజుపై నమ్మకం పెట్టుకొని, ఆయన ఇచ్చిన సంపదలోంచి ఖర్చు చేస్తే వాళ్లకేం నష్టం? అల్లాహ్ వాళ్లు చేసే పనులన్నీ బాగా తెలుసు.”
4:40

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ ۖ وَإِن تَكُ حَسَنَةً يُضَـٰعِفْهَا وَيُؤْتِ مِن لَّدُنْهُۥٓ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا
Phonetic
Inna-llāha lā yaẓlimu mithqāla dharratin wa in takun ḥasanatan yuḍā‘ifhā wa yu’ti min ladunhu ajran ‘aẓīmā.
English
“Indeed, Allah does not do injustice, [even] as much as an atom’s weight; and if there is a good deed, He multiplies it and gives from Himself a great reward.”

“అల్లాహ్ ఎవరినీ ఒక్క చిన్న ధూళి రేణువంతైనా అన్యాయం చేయడు. మనం చేసిన చిన్న మంచి పనిని కూడా ఆయన పెంచి మరీ పెద్ద బహుమతిని ఇస్తాడు.”
4:41

فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جَمَعْنَا مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍۢ شَهِيدًا وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَىٰ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ شَهِيدًا
Phonetic
Fakayfa idhā ji’nā min kulli ummatin shahīdan wa ji’nā bika ‘alā hā’ulā’i shahīdā.
English
“So how will it be when We bring from every nation a witness, and We bring you [O Prophet] as a witness against these people?”

“ప్రతి జాతి నుండి ఒక సాక్షిని తీసుకొస్తే… ఓ ప్రవక్తా, నీకు ఈ జనాల మీద సాక్ష్యం ఇవ్వమని తీసుకొస్తే పరిస్థితి ఎలా ఉంటుంది?”
4:42

يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَعَصَوُا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ لَوْ تُسَوَّىٰ بِهِمُ ٱلۡأَرْضُ وَلَا يَكْتُمُونَ ٱللَّهَ حَدِيثًا
Phonetic
Yawma’idhin yawaddu alladhīna kafarū wa ‘aṣawur-rasūla law tusawwā bihimul-arḍ, wa lā yaktumūna-llāha ḥadīthā.
English
“On that Day, those who disbelieved and disobeyed the Messenger will wish that the earth were leveled over them, and they will not be able to hide anything from Allah.”

“ఆ రోజున, ప్రవక్త మాట వినకపోయినవాళ్లు, అవిశ్వాసులు, ‘ఎంత బాగుంటుంది భూమి మమ్మల్ని కప్పేసుంటే!’ అని అనుకుంటారు. కానీ అల్లాహ్ ముందు ఏదీ దాచలేరు.”
4:43
Arabic
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَقْرَبُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَنتُمْ سُكَـٰرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَعْلَمُوا۟ مَا تَقُولُونَ … إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَفُوًّا غَفُورًا
Phonetic
Yā ayyuhā alladhīna āmanū lā taqrabūṣ-ṣalāta wa antum sukārā ḥattā ta‘lamū mā taqūlūn… inna-llāha kāna ‘afūwwan ghafūrā.
English
“O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while intoxicated until you know what you are saying… and if you cannot find water [for purification], then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and hands. Indeed, Allah is Pardoning and Forgiving.”

“ఓ విశ్వాసులారా, మత్తులో ఉన్నప్పుడు మీరు ఏమి చెబుతున్నారో అర్థం అయ్యేంత వరకు నమాజ్కి రాకండి. నీళ్లు దొరకనప్పుడు శుభ్రమైన నేలతో తాయమ్మం చేసుకోవచ్చు. అల్లాహ్ క్షమించే వాడు, దయగలవాడు.”
4:44

أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ نَصِيبًا مِّنَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ يَشْتَرُونَ ٱلضَّلَـٰلَةَ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَن تَضِلُّوا۟ ٱلسَّبِيلَ
Phonetic
Alam tara ilā alladhīna ūtū naṣīban mina-lkitābi yashtarūna aḍ-ḍalālata wa yurīdūna an taḍillū-s-sabīl.
English
“Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture? They purchase error and wish that you would lose the right path.”

“గ్రంథం ఇచ్చబడిన కొంతమంది తప్పును కొనుక్కొని, మీరు కూడా మార్గం తప్పిపోవాలని చూస్తున్నారే అని చూడలేదా?”
4:45
Arabic
وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِأَعْدَآئِكُمْ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ وَلِيًّا وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ نَصِيرًا
Phonetic
Wa-llāhu a‘lamu bi’a‘dā’ikum; wa kafā bi-llāhi waliyyan wa kafā bi-llāhi naṣīrā.
English
“And Allah knows best who your enemies are; and sufficient is Allah as a Protector, and sufficient is Allah as a Helper.”
Telugu
“మీ శత్రువులు ఎవరో అల్లాహ్ బాగా తెలుసు. ఆయన రక్షకుడిగానూ, సహాయకుడిగానూ చాలును.”
4:46
Arabic
مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلْكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِۦ … فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِّيثَـٰقَهُمْ لَعَنَّـٰهُمْ … فَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
Phonetic
Min alladhīna hādū yuḥarrifūna-lkalima ‘an mawāḍi‘ih… walākin-llāha la‘anahum bikufrihim falā yu’minūna illā qalīlā.
English
“Among the Jews are those who distort words from their proper places… if they had said, ‘We hear and we obey,’ it would have been better for them. But Allah has cursed them for their disbelief, so only a few of them believe.”

“జ్యూడులలో కొందరు మాటలను వక్రీకరిస్తారు. వారు ‘మేము వింటాము, ఆచరిస్తాము’ అని చెప్పి ఉంటే మంచిది అయ్యేది. కానీ అవిశ్వాసం వల్ల వాళ్లు శపించబడ్డారు. కొద్దిమంది మాత్రమే నమ్ముతారు.”
4:47
Arabic
يَـٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ ءَامِنُوا۟ بِمَا نَزَّلْنَا مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا مَعَكُم … أَوْ نَلْعَنَهُمْ كَمَا لَعَنَّآ أَصْحَـٰبَ ٱلسَّبْتِ
Phonetic
Yā ahla-lkitābi āminū bimā nazzalnā muṣaddiqan limā ma‘akum… aw nal‘anahum kamā la‘annā aṣḥāba-s-sabt.
English
“O People of the Book, believe in what We have sent down confirming what is with you, before We alter faces or curse them as We cursed the Sabbath-breakers.”

“ఓ గ్రంథధారులారా, మీ వద్ద ఉన్నదాన్ని ధృవీకరించే ఈ ఖురాన్ మీద నమ్మకం పెట్టుకోండి. లేనిపక్షంలో పాత కాలం సబ్బత్ను అతిక్రమించినవారిని ఎలా శపించామో, అలాగే శిక్షిస్తాము.”
Summary (Verses 38–47)
