My Ballia Memories
Greetings to you all.
In this post I am sharing my memories attached to "Ballia", where I studied the one year Remedial Course and 2 years M.Sc(Ag) Economics Course, from 1980 to 83, in the SMMTPG College, Ballia.
Folloing is our College Photo.
During the 1st year, I stayed in the College Hostel. And for the next two years, along with Mr. Lakshmi Narayana [a M.Sc course student from Vijayawada], I took a Room on rent, in the Police Lines, Ballia. The House owner was Mrs. Suseela Gupata, a teacher. She, her Son Mr. Suneel and we both students, use to stay in that House. Mr. Lakshminarayana vacated the room after completion of his course. Then Mr. Kishore, Mr. Ramesh Babu, Mr. A V Ramana Reddy and Mr. Surendra become my roommates.

About Ballia, it is a district headquarters town, situated at a distance of 170 KMs from Varanasi, in the eastren part of the Uttar Pradesh State. It is also the MLA/MP constiency, from where our Ex. Prime Minister Late Chandrasekhar won the elections.
Recently our Ballia Friends had a get-to-gether at Kadapa, on 14.2.2021.
Following is the group photo taken on that occassion.
I am providing hereunder the details of the persons, as per the serial number alloted to them, in the above Photo.

He is Junior to me, in my PG and we were roommates in a house situated at the Police lines of Ballia town.
He retired as the Assistant Director of Agriculture.

He retired as AD Agriculture and residing in Kurnool town.
3. G Ramesh Babu: Mobile No: 7981301973
H.No: 4-2081/A, Opp. to Krishnaveni College, Greamspet, CHITTOOR.
He is Junior to me in my PG and we were roommates in a house situated at the Police lines of Ballia town. Very calm going & nice person. We use to meet freequntly in Chittor, while I was working in the Saptagiri Grameena Bank's Head Office.
He is presently he IS WORKING as the Assistant Director of Agriculture, at Chittoor.

He is my classmate in the Remedial Course. After that he did M Sc(Ag) Botoany.
Both of us acted as the Mess-in-charge for our Ballia Hostel mess, for 1 month. He is innocent and always smiling person.
He worked in private organisatiions / Seed industry, in different parts of Andhar Pradesh. Presently he is residing in his native place.
5. Rayapa Reddy : Mobile No is not avaialbe.
Residing at Allagadda of Kurnool District.
He is doing cultivation.
6. Lam Nageswar Rao: Mobile No: 9840921000

He use to sing "Dam Dam Diga Diga song" by drumming on a bucket's bottom.
He owns a printing Press and settled in Chennai.

He ritired as the Development Office of Oriental Insurance Company.
Mr. Manohar took the initiate & lot of pains in arranging the get-to-gether meet at Kadapa on 14.2.2021.

Presntly working as Proffessor & Head, Ag. College, Mahanandi.

He is my calssmate in M Sc(Ag) Economics course.
In fact, he helped me a lot, in getting seat in the Ballia College.

He retired as Seed Certification officer in 2018.

He recently retired as the AD, Agriculture. He is from political family background and now wants to involve himself in the political activites.

During the introductory speach on 14.2.2021, he informed that -
He is 1977 M. Sc(Ag) Remedial Course batch student. He did M.Sc(Ag) Entomology from the Deoria College.
He is the propritor of "Anil Engineering Works", an ISO certified company. Its HO is at Hyderabad and Branches are at Culcutta, Delhi, Mogal Sarai, Baroda, Bhopal, Assam.
His company is a main service provider for the Indian Raliways. His company has got a foreign order of Rs. 760 crores in the year 2014, for which the he received appreciation from the Government of India. Doctorate was awarded to him by the "Niti Ayog" for his contributions to the society.
17. Dr. V Rajagopal Reddy: Mobile No: 9440049294

He is my Senior in the M.Sc(Ag) Remdial Cours.
He retired from the Indian Bank. He actively participated in the Bank Union activites and served as the General Secretary of the Indian Bank Officers Association.

He retired as the AD Agriculure.
We were roomates in the Ballia Hostel, during the initial period of my stay in Ballia.

He is presently working in the Postal Department. He said that he is actively involved in the Union activites and member in many local trade union units.

He is a nice person with good mannerisms.
I worked as an Officer in Saptagiri Grameena Bank, very near to his village, during the year 1986. We use to meet regularly. Subsequently, from 1987 to 1998, during my job in the Saptagiri Grameena Bank's HO at Chittoor, we become as the family friends. After that also we are in regualr contact.

Presently he is working as a Manager in the Tobacco Board.

He is the person, to whom initially I approched during my 1st visit to Ballia. He is very kind hearted. He assured to provide all the required information about the date of commencement of the acadamic year, Application process etc. Accordingly he sent me all the details in time.
He also provided accomodation in his room for many days. I am thankful to him for all the help he extended to me, during my stay at Ballia.
Once he came to our house at Guntur, during those days, while my father was working as the District Panchayat Officer of the Guntur District.

Karanamgari Street, Sree Ramapuram, BHIMAVARAM, West Godawari District.
He retired as the AD, Agriculture. Presently he is the Hon. President of AP Agri. Officers Association.
He provided T - Shirts to all the particpants as his GIFT. Actually the "LOGO" of our "Ballia Friends" is taken from the picture of the T - Shirt, presented by him to me.

He worked in the Union Corbide and witnessed the Bhopal Gass Diststor. Later worked as the Zonal Manager in VOCAD and resigned to that job. He established a company by name JASS and managing it.
