Waẕkurū ni‘matallāhi ‘alaikum iẕ kuntum a‘dā'an fa allafa baina qulūbikum fa aṣbaḥtum bini‘matihī ikhwānaw wa kuntum ‘alā shafā ḥufratim minan-nāri fa anqaẕakum minhā. Kaẕālika yubayyinullāhu lakum āyātihī la‘allakum tahtadūn.

And remember the favor of Allah upon you when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together, so you became by His favor brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.

Summary of Verses 3.98 to 3.107 (in brief)
English Summary: These verses continue to address the People of the Scripture, questioning their disbelief and deceptive practices, and providing guidance for the Muslim community regarding unity and the consequences of faith. Allah directly asks the People of the Scripture why they disbelieve in His verses despite Him being a witness to their actions (3.98) and why they hinder believers from Allah's way, seeking to distort it despite knowing the truth (3.99). Believers are warned not to obey those among the People of the Scripture who would seek to turn them back to disbelief (3.100). The Qur'an asks how believers could disbelieve when Allah's verses are recited to them and His Messenger is among them, asserting that whoever holds firmly to Allah is rightly guided (3.101). A crucial command is given to believers: to fear Allah as He should be feared and to die only as Muslims (3.102). They are exhorted to hold firmly to the rope of Allah collectively and not to be divided, remembering Allah's favor of uniting their hearts after they were enemies, saving them from the brink of Hell (3.103). A call is then made for a community (Ummah) to emerge that invites to good, enjoins right, and forbids wrong, as these are the successful ones (3.104).
