Surah No: 2 Al-Baqarah - Verses 2:38 to 2:47

Verse 2:38

  • Arabic: قُلْنَا ٱهْبِطُوا۟ مِنْهَا جَمِيعًۭا ۖ فَإِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُم مِّنِّى هُدًۭى فَمَن تَبِعَ هُدَاىَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
  • Phonetic: Qulnāhbiṭū minhā jamīʿan ۖ faʾimmā yaʾtiyannakum minnī hudan faman tabiʿa hudāya falā khawfun ʿalayhim walā hum yaḥzanūn
  • English Translation: We said, "Go down from it, all of you. And when guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance — there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve."
  • Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): మేము అన్నాము, "మీరంతా ఇక్కడి నుండి దిగిపోండి. నా వైపు నుండి మీకు మార్గదర్శకత్వం వచ్చినప్పుడు, ఎవరైతే నా మార్గాన్ని అనుసరిస్తారో వారికి ఎటువంటి భయమూ ఉండదు, మరియు వారు దుఃఖించరు."

Verse 2:39

  • Arabic: وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ
  • Phonetic: Wa alladhīna kafarū wa kadhdhabū biʾāyātinā ulāʾika aṣḥābun-nāri hum fīhā khālidūn
  • English Translation: But those who disbelieve and deny Our signs — those will be companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.
  • Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): కానీ ఎవరైతే విశ్వసించకుండా, మా ఆయత్‌లను (సూచనలను/వచనాలను) తిరస్కరిస్తారో, వారే నరకాగ్నివాసులు; వారు అందులో శాశ్వతంగా ఉంటారు.

Verse 2:40

  • Arabic: يَٰبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتِىَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأَوْفُوا۟ بِعَهْدِىٓ أُوفِ بِعَهْدِكُمْ وَإِيَّٰىَ فَٱرْهَبُونِ
  • Phonetic: Yā Banī Isrāʾīla adhkurū niʿmatī allatī anʿamtu ʿalaykum wa awfū biʿahdī ūfi biʿahdikum wa iyyāya farhabūn
  • English Translation: O Children of Israel, remember My favor which I have bestowed upon you and fulfill My covenant [upon you] that I will fulfill your covenant [from Me], and be afraid of [only] Me.
  • Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): ఓ ఇస్రాయీల్ సంతతివారలారా! నేను మీకు ప్రసాదించిన నా అనుగ్రహాన్ని గుర్తుంచుకోండి మరియు నా ఒప్పందాన్ని (మీ కర్తవ్యాన్ని) మీరు నెరవేర్చండి, నేను మీ ఒప్పందాన్ని (నా వాగ్దానాన్ని) నెరవేరుస్తాను, మరియు నాకు మాత్రమే భయపడండి.

Verse 2:41

  • Arabic: وَءَامِنُوا۟ بِمَآ أَنزَلْتُ مُصَدِّقًۭا لِّمَا مَعَكُمْ وَلَا تَكُونُوٓا۟ أَوَّلَ كَافِرٍۭ بِهِۦ ۖ وَلَا تَشْتَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِى ثَمَنًۭا قَلِيلًۭا وَإِيَّٰىَ فَٱتَّقُونِ
  • Phonetic: Wa āminū bimā anzaltu muṣaddiqan limā maʿakum walā takūnū awwala kāfirin bihī ۖ walā tashtarū biʾāyātī thamanan qalīlan wa iyyāya fattaqūn
  • English Translation: And believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is [already] with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And do not exchange My signs for a small price, and fear [only] Me.
  • Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): మరియు నేను పంపిన దానిని (ఖురాన్‌ను) నమ్మండి, అది మీ వద్ద ఉన్నదాన్ని (తౌరాత్, ఇంజీల్‌లను) ధృవీకరిస్తుంది. దానిని మొదట తిరస్కరించేవారు కాకండి. మరియు నా సూచనలను తక్కువ ధరకు అమ్ముకోకండి, మరియు నాకు మాత్రమే భయపడండి.

Verse 2:42

  • Arabic: وَلَا تَلْبِسُوا۟ ٱلْحَقَّ بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُوا۟ ٱلْحَقَّ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
  • Phonetic: Walā talbisū al-ḥaqqa bil-bāṭili wa taktumū al-ḥaqqa wa antum taʿlamūn
  • English Translation: And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know [it].
  • Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): మరియు సత్యాన్ని అసత్యంతో కలపకండి, మీకు తెలిసినా సత్యాన్ని దాచిపెట్టకండి.

Verse 2:43

  • Arabic: وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱرْكَعُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلرَّٰكِعِينَ
  • Phonetic: Wa aqīmū aṣ-ṣalāta wa ātū az-zakāta warkāʿū maʿa ar-rākīʿīn
  • English Translation: And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience].
  • Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): మరియు నమాజ్ (ప్రార్థన) స్థాపించండి, జకాత్ (దానధర్మాలు) ఇవ్వండి, మరియు వంగి ప్రార్థన చేసేవారితో పాటు వంగండి.

Verse 2:44

  • Arabic: أَتَأْمُرُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ بِٱلْبِرِّ وَتَنسَوْنَ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ تَتْلُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
  • Phonetic: Atāʾmurūna an-nāsa bil-birri wa tansawna anfusakum wa antum tatlūna al-kitāb ۚ afalā taʿqilūn
  • English Translation: Do you order righteousness of the people and forget yourselves while you recite the Scripture? Then will you not reason?
  • Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): మీరు ప్రజలను మంచి చేయమని ఆదేశించి, మీరే గ్రంథాన్ని పఠిస్తూ మిమ్మల్ని మీరు మర్చిపోతారా? మీకు బుద్ధి లేదా?

Verse 2:45

  • Arabic: وَٱسْتَعِينُوا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ۚ وَإِنَّهَا لَكَبِيرَةٌ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱلْخَٰشِعِينَ
  • Phonetic: Wa istaʿīnū biṣ-ṣabri waṣ-ṣalāti ۚ wa innahā lakabīratun illā ʿala al-khāshiʿīn
  • English Translation: And seek help through patience and prayer; and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah].
  • Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): మరియు సహనం మరియు నమాజ్ (ప్రార్థన) ద్వారా సహాయం కోరండి; ఇది వినయవిధేయత గలవారికి తప్ప మిగిలిన వారికి చాలా కష్టమైనది.

Verse 2:46

  • Arabic: ٱلَّذِينَ يَظُنُّونَ أَنَّهُم مُّلَٰقُو رَبِّهِمْ وَأَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ رَٰجِعُونَ
  • Phonetic: Alladhīna yaẓunnūna annahum mulāqū rabbihim wa annahum ilayhi rājiʿūn
  • English Translation: Who are certain that they will meet their Lord and that they will return to Him.
  • Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): వారెవరంటే, తమ ప్రభువును కలుసుకోబోతున్నామని మరియు ఆయన వద్దకే తిరిగి వెళ్ళబోతున్నామని దృఢంగా నమ్మేవారు.

Verse 2:47

  • Arabic: يَٰبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتِىَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأَنِّى فَضَّلْتُكُمْ عَلَى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
  • Phonetic: Yā Banī Isrāʾīla adhkurū niʿmatī allatī anʿamtu ʿalaykum wa annī faḍḍaltukum ʿala al-ʿālamīn
  • English Translation: O Children of Israel, remember My favor that I have bestowed upon you and that I preferred you over the worlds [i.e., peoples].
  • Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): ఓ ఇస్రాయీల్ సంతతివారలారా! నేను మీకు ప్రసాదించిన నా అనుగ్రహాన్ని గుర్తుంచుకోండి మరియు నిశ్చయంగా నేను మిమ్మల్ని లోకాలన్నింటిపై శ్రేష్ఠులుగా చేశాను.

Ballia Reunion on 7.1.2026

My dear friends, Sometimes, life gives us a second chance to step into a photograph we thought had faded. This is the story of one such gift —a get-together of the  Ballia Babuas  on  07.01.2026  at the  Ramapriya Convention, Vijayawada . It began, as all beautiful things often do, with a simple message. My Ballia Memories

My dear frineds, Greetings to you all. In this post I am sharing my memories attached to "Ballia", where I studied the one year Remedial Course and 2 years M.Sc(Ag) Economics Course, from 1980 to 83, in the SMMTPG College, Ballia.  Folloing is our College Photo. This is the back side of the college. After receipt of the front side photo, I will update it.   During the 1st year, I stayed in the College Hostel. And for the next two years, along with    Mr. Lakshmi Narayana [a M.Sc course student from Vijayawada], I took a Room on rent, in the Police Lines, Ballia. The House owner was Mrs. Suseela Gupata, a teacher. She, her Son     Mr. Suneel and we both students, use to stay in that House. Mr. Lakshminarayana vacated the room after completion of his course.
