Verse 2:18

• Arabic: صُمٌّۢ بُكْمٌ عُمْىٌ فَهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ
• Phonetic: Ṣummun bukmun 'umyun fahum lā yarji'ūn
• English Translation: Deaf, dumb, and blind — so they will not return [to the right path].
• Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): చెవిటి వాళ్ళు, మూగవాళ్ళు, గుడ్డి వాళ్ళు — కాబట్టి వాళ్ళు [సరైన మార్గానికి] తిరిగి రారు.

Verse 2:19

• Arabic: أَوْ كَصَيِّبٍ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فِيهِ ظُلُمَٰتٌ وَرَعْدٌ وَبَرْقٌ يَجْعَلُونَ أَصَٰبِعَهُمْ فِىٓ ءَاذَانِهِم مِّنَ ٱلصَّوَٰعِقِ حَذَرَ ٱلْمَوْتِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ مُحِيطٌۢ بِٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
• Phonetic: Aw kaṣayyibin minas-samā'i fīhi ẓulumātuw wa ra'duw wa barqun yaj'alūna aṣābi'ahum fī ādhānihim minaṣ-ṣawā'iqi ḥadharal-mawti wal-lāhu muḥīṭum bil-kāfirīn
• English Translation: Or [another example is] like a rainstorm from the sky within which is darkness, thunder and lightning. They put their fingers in their ears against the thunderclaps in dread of death. But Allah is encompassing of the disbelievers.
• Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): లేదా [మరొక ఉదాహరణ] ఆకాశం నుండి కురిసే భారీ వర్షం లాంటిది, అందులో చీకటి, ఉరుములు, మెరుపులు ఉంటాయి. చావు భయంతో పిడుగుల శబ్దానికి వాళ్ళు చెవుల్లో వేళ్ళు పెట్టుకుంటారు. కానీ అల్లాహ్ అవిశ్వాసులందరినీ చుట్టుముట్టే ఉంటాడు.

Verse 2:20

• Arabic: يَكَادُ ٱلْبَرْقُ يَخْطَفُ أَبْصَٰرَهُمْ ۖ كُلَّمَآ أَضَآءَ لَهُم مَّشَوْا۟ فِيهِ وَإِذَآ أَظْلَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ قَامُوا۟ ۚ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَذَهَبَ بِسَمْعِهِمْ وَأَبْصَٰرِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
• Phonetic: Yakādul-barqu yakhtaṭafu abṣārahum, kullamā aḍā'a lahum mashaw fīhi wa idhā aẓlama 'alayhim qāmū, wa law shā'allāhu ladhahaba bisam'ihim wa abṣārihim, innal-lāha 'alā kulli shay'in qadīr
• English Translation: The lightning almost snatches away their sight. Every time it lights [the way] for them, they walk therein; but when darkness comes over them, they stand [still]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken away their hearing and their sight. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.
• Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): మెరుపు వాళ్ళ చూపును లాగేసుకునేంత దగ్గరగా వస్తుంది. అది వాళ్ళకు దారిని ప్రకాశింపజేసినప్పుడల్లా వాళ్ళు నడుస్తారు; చీకటి కమ్ముకున్నప్పుడు మాత్రం ఆగిపోతారు. అల్లాహ్ తలచుకుంటే, వాళ్ళ వినికిడిని, చూపును పూర్తిగా తీసేసేవాడు. నిజంగా, అల్లాహ్ ప్రతీదానిపై శక్తిగలవాడు.

Verse 2:21

• Arabic: يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
• Phonetic: Yā ayyuhan-nāsu'budū rabbakumul-ladhī khalaqakum wal-ladhīna min qablikum la'allakum tattaqūn
• English Translation: O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous—
• Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): ఓ మానవులారా! మిమ్మల్ని, మీ ముందున్న వాళ్ళను సృష్టించిన మీ ప్రభువును పూజించండి, బహుశా మీరు భయభక్తులు గలవారవుతారు.

Verse 2:22

• Arabic: ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ فِرَٰشًا وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بِنَآءً وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ رِزْقًا لَّكُمْ ۖ فَلَا تَجْعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ أَندَادًا وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
• Phonetic: Alladhī ja'ala lakumul-arḍa firāshāw was-samā'a binā'aw wa anzala minas-samā'i mā'an fa akhraja bihī minath-thamarāti rizqal lakum, falā taj'alū lil-lāhi andādāw wa antum ta'lamūn
• English Translation: [He] who made for you the earth a bed and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there are none].
• Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): మీ కోసం భూమిని పడకగా, ఆకాశాన్ని పైకప్పుగా చేసినవాడు, ఆకాశం నుండి వర్షాన్ని కురిపించి, దాని ద్వారా మీకు ఆహారంగా పండ్లను ఉత్పత్తి చేసినవాడు. కాబట్టి మీరు అల్లాహ్‌కు సరిసమానంగా వేరెవరినీ కల్పించకండి, అది మీకు తెలిసిన విషయమే కదా.

Verse 2:23

• Arabic: وَإِن كُنتُمْ فِى رَيْبٍ مِّمَّا نَزَّلْنَا عَلَىٰ عَبْدِنَا فَأْتُوا۟ بِسُورَةٍ مِّن مِّثْلِهِۦ وَٱدْعُوا۟ شُهَدَآءَكُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ
• Phonetic: Wa in kuntum fī raybim mimmā nazzalnā 'alā 'abdinā fa'tū bisūratim mim mithlihī wad'ū shuhadā'akum min dūnillāhi in kuntum ṣādiqīn
• English Translation: And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah, if you should be truthful.
• Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): ఒకవేళ మేము మా దాసుడు [ముహమ్మద్] పై పంపిన దాని గురించి మీకు ఏమైనా సందేహం ఉంటే, అలాంటి ఒక సూరాను మీరు కూడా తయారు చేయండి, మరియు మీరు నిజం చెప్పే వారైతే అల్లాహ్ కాకుండా మీ సాక్షులను పిలవండి.

Verse 2:24

• Arabic: فَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلُوا۟ وَلَن تَفْعَلُوا۟ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِى وَقُودُهَا ٱلنَّاسُ وَٱلْحِجَارَةُ ۖ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ
• Phonetic: Fa il lam taf'alū wa lan taf'alū fattaqūn-nāral-latī waqūduhān-nāsu wal-ḥijāratu u'iddat lil-kāfirīn
• English Translation: But if you do not do it — and you will never be able to do it — then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.
• Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): ఒకవేళ మీరు అలా చేయలేకపోతే – మరియు మీరు ఎప్పటికీ చేయలేరు – అప్పుడు ఆ నరకాగ్నికి భయపడండి, దాని ఇంధనం మనుషులు మరియు రాళ్ళు, అవిశ్వాసుల కోసం అది సిద్ధం చేయబడింది.

Verse 2:25

• Arabic: وَبَشِّرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ۖ كُلَّمَا رُزِقُوا۟ مِنْهَا مِن ثَمَرَةٍ رِّزْقًا ۙ قَالُوا۟ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى رُزِقْنَا مِن قَبْلُ ۖ وَأُتُوا۟ بِهِۦ مُتَشَٰبِهًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِيهَآ أَزْوَٰجٌ مُّطَهَّرَةٌ ۖ وَهُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ
• Phonetic: Wa bashshiril-ladhīna āmanū wa 'amiluṣ-ṣāliḥāti anna lahum jannātin tajrī min taḥtihal-anhār(u), kullamā ruziqū minhā min thamaratin rizqan qālū hādhal-ladhī ruziqnā min qablu wa utū bihī mutashābihā(n), wa lahum fīhā azwājum muṭahharah, wa hum fīhā khālidūn
• English Translation: And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally.
• Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): నమ్మినవాళ్ళకు, మంచి పనులు చేసినవాళ్ళకు శుభవార్త చెప్పండి, వాళ్ళకు కింద నదులు ప్రవహించే తోటలు ఉంటాయి. వాళ్ళకు అక్కడి పండ్లలో నుండి ఆహారం లభించినప్పుడల్లా, "ఇదే మనకు ఇంతకుముందు లభించింది" అంటారు. మరియు అది వాళ్ళకు ఒకే విధంగా ఇవ్వబడుతుంది. అక్కడ వారికి పవిత్రమైన భాగస్వాములు ఉంటారు, మరియు వాళ్ళు అక్కడ శాశ్వతంగా ఉంటారు.

Verse 2:26

• Arabic: ۞ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَسْتَحْىِۦٓ أَن يَضْرِبَ مَثَلًا مَّا بَعُوضَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَا ۚ فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ فَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فَيَقُولُونَ مَاذَآ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَٰذَا مَثَلًا ۘ يُضِلُّ بِهِۦ كَثِيرًا وَيَهْدِى بِهِۦ كَثِيرًا ۚ وَمَا يُضِلُّ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ
• Phonetic: Innallāha lā yastaḥyī an yaḍriba mathalam mā ba'ūḍatan famā fawqahā, fa ammal-ladhīna āmanū faya'lamūna annahul-ḥaqqu mir rabbihim, wa ammal-ladhīna kafarū fayaqūlūna mādhā arādallāhu bihādhā mathalā(n), yuḍillu bihī kathīrāw wa yahdī bihī kathīrā(n), wa mā yuḍillu bihī illal-fāsiqīn
• English Translation: Indeed, Allah is not ashamed to present an example — that of a mosquito or what is smaller than it. And as for those who believed, they know that it is the truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieved, they say, "What did Allah intend by this as an example?" He misleads many thereby and guides many thereby. And He misleads not thereby except the defiantly disobedient,
• Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): నిజానికి, అల్లాహ్ ఒక దోమ లేదా దానికంటే చిన్నదైన దాని ఉదాహరణను ఇవ్వడానికి సిగ్గుపడడు. నమ్మినవాళ్ళకు, ఇది తమ ప్రభువు నుండి వచ్చిన సత్యమని తెలుసు. కానీ అవిశ్వాసులు, "ఈ ఉదాహరణతో అల్లాహ్ ఏమి ఉద్దేశించాడు?" అని అంటారు. ఆయన దీని ద్వారా చాలామందిని తప్పుదారి పట్టిస్తాడు మరియు చాలామందికి మార్గదర్శకత్వం ఇస్తాడు. ఆయన తప్పుదారి పట్టిస్తాడు కేవలం అవిధేయులను మాత్రమే.

Verse 2:27

• Arabic: ٱلَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَ ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مِيثَٰقِهِۦ وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ
• Phonetic: Alladhīna yanquḍūna 'ahdal-lāhi mim ba'di mīthāqihī wa yaqṭa'ūna mā amaral-lāhu bihī an yūṣala wa yufsidūna fil-arḍi, ulā'ika humul-khāsirūn
• English Translation: Who break the covenant of Allah after contracting it and cut off what Allah has ordered to be joined and cause corruption on earth. It is those who are the losers.
• Telugu Meaning (సాధారణంగా మాట్లాడే తెలుగులో): వాళ్ళు అల్లాహ్ తో చేసిన ఒడంబడికను పదిలం చేసుకున్న తర్వాత కూడా దానిని విరుస్తారు, అల్లాహ్ కలపమని ఆజ్ఞాపించిన వాటిని వేరు చేస్తారు, మరియు భూమిలో అల్లర్లను సృష్టిస్తారు. వారే నష్టపోయినవాళ్ళు.
