Banking issue - Success Story

Greetings.
I am glad to share our Helping Hands Foundation’s Success
story, related a Bank issue.
We received the following representation, requesting for
our intervention to resolve an issue, which is pending since 2015, that is
for more than seven long years.
During my personal verification of the documents related to this issue, available at the Janseva CCS HO, Mumbai, it is observed that the HO staff tried to resolve the issue, through various methods including lodging of police complaint; issuing legal notices to the Kokan Mercantile Bank, etc.
Ultimately they stopped pursuing the matter, few years back, due to
various reasons.
As per our HHF policy, a case sheet on this issue was
prepared on our HHF letter-head, duly covering all the facts supported by the documentary evidences.
Then, we registered online complaint on 9.10.2022, with the RBI Ombudsman, by
attaching the case sheet.
The hard copy of the case sheet was also sent to the Ombudsman office, through
Registered Post.
After 3 reminders at regular intervals, our issue got settled
by the Ombudsman and the complaint was closed on 3.1.2023.
Ultimately, after de-freeze of the two current accounts, at our advice, entire
outstanding balance was withdrawn from the Kokan Bank, by keeping the minimum balance.
Following is the letter we received to that effect.
Incidentally, we would like to place on record that - we have not charged any fee for the above issue settlement, because our
services are at free of cost.
