Planning through a pocket book
Hi, my dear U,
Welcome.
As we know, all our works will definitely fall in any one quadrant of the below matrix.
![]() |
Since we don't have any option in respect of the 1st Quadrant, there is nothing to discuss about this, except doing those works, IMMEDIATELY.
Similarly, if we want to have more FREE time to excel in our life, then we have to "AVOID" doing the works, which falls in the Quadrant 3 & 4.
Now, coming to the 2nd Quadrant, this is the most important, among all.
If we don't plan to do the works that falls under this Quadrant - 2 properly, then they will be automatically transferred to the Quadrant -1 and become as the Important & Urgent works, after some time.
For the past 4 decades, I am following a very simple technique, to complete the works that are "important but not urgent".
I always keeps a pocket book with me. In that book, everyday morning, I write-down the works, that are to be done on that day.
Further, whenever any new work that comes to my mind will also be entered in it.
Once in a hour or two, I refer that book and "tick-mark" the completed works.
As I will be referring that book regularly, I will be knowing the pending works.
In the next morning, whatever the pending works, means yesterday not completed works will be brought forward / freshly entered in that day's page.
The following link gives the video demonstration.

One thing I would like to specifically share with you is, due to above practice, I could do all the works timely and be tension free.
Hope this tip helps the younger generations in their "time management", effectively.
Regards,
Abdul Naseer.
